Since 1 June 2025, proof of competence is mandatory in Switzerland for many cosmetic laser and IPL applications. We inform, advise and train you.
The basics
What is the V-NISSG?
The V-NISSG is the Swiss ordinance to the federal act on protection against the dangers of non-ionising radiation and sound. Since 1 June 2025 it governs the commercial use of lasers, IPL and other devices on people — and requires recognised proof of competence for many cosmetic applications.

Structure
How the certificate is structured
Fundamentals module
Anatomy, physiology and the assessment of skin and tissue — the foundation for every further specialisation.
Technologies module
Technical fundamentals of the methods used: laser, IPL, radiofrequency, ultrasound and cryolipolysis.
Treatment-specific modules (BKF)
A dedicated module per treatment type with the concrete knowledge and skills for safe application.
