The EY Pico Hybrid is the proven, high-performance device from EY Esthetic AG for professional tattoo removal and aesthetic skin care. Its key advantage lies in combining two laser technologies within a single unit:Q-Switched and picosecond. This hybrid technology makes it possible to select the optimal method for every tattoo, skin type, and treatment goal. Precise, safe, and effective.
Thanks to three wavelengths,532 nm, 755 nm, and 1064 nm , the EY Pico Hybrid covers the full colour spectrum of modern tattoos. Whether black, red, blue, or green pigments: each colour responds to a specific wavelength, and the device targets it with the highest precision without stressing the surrounding tissue. Picosecond pulses shatter the ink particles into tiny fragments, which the body's immune system gradually breaks down and eliminates via the lymphatic system. The result is faster fading, with minimal risk of burns or scarring.
The EY Pico Hybrid goes well beyond tattoo removal. With thehoneycomb lens (Honeycomb) , it becomes a highly effective skin rejuvenation device: energy is focused into fine microbeams that target pigmentation spots and melasma, brighten the complexion, and stimulate collagen production deep within the skin. No heat diffusion, no downtime. In1064 nm Long Pulse mode , the device also enables thermal deep remodelling: skin becomes firmer, pores are refined, and texture is noticeably improved. Gentle and suitable for all skin types.
For cleansing congested or oily skin, the EY Pico Hybrid also offers acarbon peeling function. A medical carbon gel penetrates the pores, is vaporised by the laser pulse, and carries away sebum, impurities, and dead skin cells. The result is smoother, more radiant, and more even skin, visible after the very first session.
The EY Pico Hybrid is the device of choice for those who want to deliver first-class, lasting results to their clients. Versatile, technically refined, and dependable in daily practice.
How does the picosecond laser work?
The EY Pico Hybrid operates on the principle of selective photothermolysis: each wavelength is preferentially absorbed by specific pigments. The extremely short pulses (pico- and nanoseconds) generate a photomechanical shock on the ink particles, shattering them into tiny fragments. These are then gradually broken down and eliminated by the body's immune system via macrophages and the lymphatic system.
Which tattoos can be removed?
The device covers the full colour spectrum of modern tattoos, including eyebrow tattoos and cosmetic permanent make-up removal.
Important to note: a colour often consists of several mixed pigments. With eyebrow tattoos, temporary colour changes may occur (for example, a shift from black to red). This is a well-known phenomenon and not a malfunction. A follow-up session with the appropriate wavelength will resolve it.
More than tattoo removal: skin rejuvenation and carbon peeling
Skin rejuvenation with 755 nm pico and honeycomb lens
The combination of the 755 nm picosecond laser and the honeycomb lens concentrates energy into microbeams and produces the LIOB effect (Laser-Induced Optical Breakdown), a microcavitation without thermal burning. This mechanism:
✓ Corrects pigmentation spots and melasma
✓ Evens out and brightens the complexion
✓ Stimulates collagen production
✓ Refines pores
✓ Minimal recovery time
Skin rejuvenation with 1064 nm Long Pulse
The 1064 nm Long Pulse laser heats the dermis evenly through a selective photothermal effect, without affecting the melanin in the epidermis. Ideal for:
✓ Improving skin texture and firmness
✓ Reducing enlarged pores
✓ Thermal collagen remodelling
✓ Suitable for all skin types, including darker phototypes
Carbon Peeling
In carbon peeling, a medical carbon gel is applied to the skin and penetrates deep into the pores. During the laser pass, the gel is vaporised, taking sebum, impurities, and dead skin cells with it. Results:
✓ Smoother, more even skin
✓ Reduction of sebum and comedones
✓ Visibly reduced pores
✓ Improved complexion and radiance
✓ Gentle exfoliation with no downtime
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions required depends on several factors:
• Type, colour, and density of the tattoo
• Depth and age of the tattoo
• Body area (central zones respond faster than extremities)
• Skin type and immune system efficiency
Simple or small tattoo
3–6 sessions
Eyebrow or permanent make-up
3–8 sessions
Medium tattoo
6–10 sessions
Large or multicoloured tattoo
10–15+ sessions
Interval between sessions
6–10 weeks (to allow the skin and immune system to recover)
Skin rejuvenation or carbon peeling
3–6 sessions as a course
An individual treatment plan is created for each client. A fixed number of sessions cannot be guaranteed, as results depend on biological factors.
